Lyme Regis and Weymouth. All are accessible by local transport.
The Exeter to Bournemouth bus, the X53, runs along the coast, about every two hours.
Chesil Beach is 17 miles long, running from Portland to West Bay. It is famous for it's wildlife and fossils.
Monkey World is 35 miles away at Wareham and Abbotsbury, only 8.5 miles down the coast, has a swannery, tropical gardens and a children's farm which has goat racing. GOAT RACING?!! Must be worth a view. Personally, I prefer my goat curried!
In 2012, Weymouth and Portland Bill will be the venue for the Olympics sailing! Unfortunately Yngling may not feature.
